Grace Bryson is a certified animal behaviourist and dog trainer with over 27 years of experience, knowledge and skill. I have comprehensive knowledge to asses your dogs needs. I am always learning new and ethical ways to educate people and their animals. I have many options for you to choose from and with your help we will develop a plan specifically built for you and the needs of your dog. No two dogs or people for that matter learn the same so we develop every training package to YOU. All the training is done in your own environment so there is no transfer confusion, we learn where we live.
Phone Consultation | Free
Sometimes all I need is a phone conversation with you to identify what your needs are.
Meet n’ Greet
For more challenging issues your dog will need to be assessed in person. We will meet to discuss your dogs needs while I observe the dog. From there we design a training plan to suit your needs. You may require one session or several and make a plan from there.
If you are in the Quinte and surrounding area I will come to your home, we can meet at the dog park or even at your work (if your dog comes to work with you) and I will give you an honest evaluation of what I think I can do for you and your dog! If I feel that I cannot help you I will be honest and tell you because for me it’s not about money it’s about helping your dog be the best dog it can be! If we mutually decide to work together, the fee will be put towards your first session with me. Call for rates.
Manners usually a 4-6 week course (1 hour per week)
Your puppy can start this as early at 10 weeks old. If you start early you will avoid more problems with your dog in the future. Prevention is the key to success. If after 6 weeks you and your dog are in need of more extensive training we can discuss further training options. Puppies come as blank slates so it is up to us to teach them manners, such as:
- sit before going through a doorway
- no sniffing people’s crotches (just rude)
- taking food from your hand gently
- curbing teething and nipping
- and many other things
Please read carefully, All training contracts are non-refundable, If you sign up for a package deal you have 3 months in which to use it, if you fail to keep appointments and run out of time, you loose your spot. When you book in multiple sessions you are blocking off days in my schedule which I cannot offer to other clients, so unless you have a 24 hour or more cancellation it counts as your lesson. Some exceptions do apply in some cases, rules subject to change without notice.

Behavioural Training
If after a meet n’ greet I have determined that your dog needs behavioural modification we will discuss a plan of actions that will bring results. This may be one session or several sessions, dependant on the situation. When your dogs unwanted behavior has stopped, I say Adiós! Behaviours that may need behavioural modification are:
- attacking your vacuum
- storming your door when people come in
- aggression towards humans or other animals
- constant barking
- steeling food
- jumping on counters/furniture
- toy or furniture possession
- food aggression
- the list is endless…

Special Needs Training | individual fees to be determined
Special needs dogs are deaf dogs, blind dogs, dogs with special needs owners (disabled owners, autistic children, seizure alert). I have not only worked with dogs with special needs but I also have owned several and currently have 2 deaf dogs of my own. Because of the nature of the special needs dogs, the training is more involved, therefore, an individual assessment is needed before I can give you an idea of price.
All sessions are usually are 1-1.5 hours (any longer and we lose the dogs attention). A travelling fee may apply, I work seven days a week.
