I am happy to announce that in the new year April 1 2015 I have been invited to Queens University to speak publicly about my rrruffstart program! I have never spoken publicly before and I don’t mind telling you it is one of my biggest fears. other than balloons, YES I said balloons! They ( who ever they are? ) say what doesn’t kills you only makes you stronger so I am going to take my own advice, borrow some brave, and face this opportunity head on with great pride and honour! I am very excited to think that people actually want to hear what I have to say, I never thought I had that much to say before? Apparently I do, and people find it interesting! Who knew? I am not sure of all the details yet, but as soon as I do I will be updating this so anyone can join the conversation should they so choose! If you have any questions about this event please email me or follow me on face book for updated details as I get them! Thanks everyone who has helped me get this far in my career and passion!
My first ever speaking engagement!

Grace, one thing that can be helpful for something like this is to make a power point presentation. It really helps keep you focused and on track with what you want to say. Just a thought for you! Good luck!
Thanks for the info, as soon as I learn what power point is I will look into it! lol
It’s like a slide show that you control. It can be done on a laptop and the University would definitely have hook ups for it. It’s great because you can include pictures and key words on the screen that help trigger all the things you want to say. Also, they say a picture is worth a thousand words. I helped a horse trainer make one once and he loved it. I would definitely let you borrow my laptop for your big day if you want to try it.
YOu go girl!
Grace, you will do great! Even tho it is one of your biggest fears (its mine too i hate it) you are so passionate about rrruffhouse, rrruffstart and putting an end to puppy mills and bark yard breeders that your compassion and dedication to saving these animals will make it seem so easy to speak about it. Shake out those nerves look into the eyes of those you have already rescued from what could of been the end of their lives and do it for the dogs!! You will have so many supporters and raising a hell of a lot of awareness. Once you get talking your nerves will subside. 🙂
